Objects, spaces, places, and homes — all my favorite things to think about, interrogate, and explore!
But I’m so used to looking at them through my own lens, so it’s fun to experience them through yours.
That’s been one of my favorite things about following along with what you share. I’m looking forward to not just what you have to say about these things, but reading what you discover about yourself in relation to all of them.
I love all the places you’ve been taking us with TDB, whatever the topic.
Your more personal stuff is what always stays with me; I think that’s when you’re at your best.
I had fun revisiting all the posts you shared here. Hard to believe how long ago some of those were because they don’t feel like it, but also…they do.
This has been one of my favorite newsletters since before it was even a Substack :)
Thank you so much for your continuing desire to read TDB and for being an OG reader! Since you have been following along the longest, I really appreciate your feedback because you’ve seen the whole evolution of one whole year of my nonsense!
I’ll be sure to keep the posts ~personal~ and I too feel like those have been my strongest/easiest...? But I want to challenge myself by weaving in some with some more observationalness. I want to take you all around the world, and push past the universe!
“I’m looking forward to not just what you have to say about these things, but reading what you discover about yourself in relation to all of them.” Ooo I love this idea. I’m gonna be more conscious of this and incorporate into my writing!
And I’m so happy this is one of your favorites :) I am honored! Thanks for always reading and your support always!!!
It seems a very worthwhile focus this time of year to review one's heirlooms. What have I inherited that I cherish? And, on the other hand, it also occurs to me that I'd like to review what I have inherited that I've been carrying around as unnecessary baggage. Attitudes are mental heirlooms too. Some are worth hanging on to. Others, not so much.
Ooo I never thought of attitudes as mental heirlooms. Thats a great one! Those are probably harder to see too. All the more reason to focus on it this time of year.

"Maybe you have a favorite pen. It glides smoothly over your go-to notebook’s paper surface." the way you called me out right at your second sentence.
BTW, I love your little dividers :)
Hehehe :) thank you!!!
