Loved seeing your pictures, feedback and diagrams in Steven's course!
Also liking the evolution and backstory of the sunflower. "Stop painting like an architect" is great feedback, which I see translated as ditching the logical part of your brain, as we were kind of asynchronously talking about haha. Useful to constantly remind that to ourselves.
Will have to check that youtube channel! Looks very interesting
I’m so so soo happy you brought the sunflower back to life and shared it here. I was already hoping you would keep going with this one. (And that lil bee in your picture still makes me smile.) I’m feeling very invested in this “be more free” journey you’ve been on, and I’m curious to see what happens.
The progression of this painting is my favorite. It’s a DRASTIC change from the first to the current state. I love how much more texture developed in that second photo! The brushstrokes look SO creamy in the 2nd and 3rd. I LOVE them. I like switching back and forth between all the pictures to see the differences. You’re doing such a good job with that bush too. In general, there’s so much more DEPTH and movement going on in that 3rd one. What I love most about how you went with the sphere is that it looks like a lil crescent moon inside the sunflower 🙂 and it looks so dreamyyy. The luminous lemon and naples yellow are doing wonders for that sunflower. Those petals are fucking exquisite. 🤤
Please share your paintings forever, I’m obsessed with them. :)
Also, your GIF is incredible. That bookshelf detail? Please. Next level. Literally stunned. Now that I see the video, I’m OBSESSED with that teeny tiny ass apartment. Mostly because of that bookcase. Now witnessing what it looks like when you’re looking directly at it from the living room, I’m more in love with it. That illusion is wild. I NEED IT.
P.S. Your Vegan Grandma Pizza Pasta is making me feel guilty for eating real pizza earlier. It was so good, though. I ate it in your honor. 🍕🍕🍕🍕
I’m glad you’re a fan of the sunflower! It feels like the underdog of the “be more free” journey lol I’m also excited to see how this journey unfolds lol it’s giving me ideas on how to think outside the box more for future paintings!
The brushstrokes are creamy and buttery IRL and I’m loving the lemon paints. It’s a new discovery from my mom’s pandora box-like paint set.
I will forever share my paintings here just for you!!! I’m so happy you’re obsessed :)
YES your reaction is so worth the 12+ hours I put into that GIF. And let’s build you a staircase bookshelf. I’ll come over and we’ll figure it out together. Lmk if you’re down to build a stair to a new roof terrace. Are you down for a DIY construction war zone?
No no no, no guilt for pizza EVER. Pizza is pure and above all foods. I feel the garlicky tomatoy flavor in spirit! 🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕
Love her insights and interests and so easy to read
Why do these noodles look so perfect???

The sunflower is truly one of my FAVORITE paintings you've done! We love an underdog. I respect its journey.
Forever obsessed.
